The Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM) has temporarily closed the exhibition halls and library at its main building in Los Balcones street, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, due to the renovation works of its electric and illumination system.
The estimated conclusion of these works is of three months. The reforms are being undertaken with the aim to obtain a higher energy efficiency in the historic building site of this art centre, designed by the architect Francisco Javier Sáez de Oíza and opened in 1989.
In the section ‘Exhibitions’ of this web you can consult the Exhibitions program for 2022.
However the CAAM Shop and exhibition halls in San Antonio Abad gallery will remain open at usual scheduled times.
In this sense, CAAM-San Antonio Abad will re-open with the exhibition Human, all too human of the Iranian artist Arita Shahrzad. Until then these halls will be closed for installation of the referred exhibition.
In parallel, the museum continues to offer to the public cultural contents online, through this web page and its social media Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
We remind you that in this pandemic context the sanitary protocols for a safe culture continue to be mandatory for the visitors to this art centre of the Gran Canaria Council.
