The CAAM Library and Documentation Centre has started its first home loans service
The initiative aims to provide easier access for the public to enjoy this valuable document collection specifically related to art
The CAAM Library and Documentation Centre set up a new home loans service in May for part of its document collection, which includes around 59,000 items specialising in all types of art disciplines.
The aim is to make it easier for the public enjoy this valuable public collection held by the CAAM. It’s the only collection of its kind in the Canary Islands and has been extended in the last 20 years, as Gran Canaria Island Council’s Head of Culture and Historic Heritage, Larry Álvarez, explained.
Users of the Library and Documentation Centre will now find it easier to view publications in a variety of formats, such as exhibition catalogues, monographs, full feature videos, documentaries, and CDs with a range of music genres.
Anyone wishing to use this service can fill in a form at the Library and Documentation Centre to obtain a library card for access to items available for home loans, in line with the regulations of the Centre. These regulations are available on the CAAM web page and in the Library and Documentation Centre Reading Room.
For all enquiries, please call the Library and Documentation Centre on 928 311 800, extension 214 or 225, or contact the Centre at bcd@caam.net.
